State University of New York at Geneseo · Junior
Hello! I am an anthropology undergraduate enrolled at SUNY Geneseo. The financial aid offered through this college was incredible, which is what made it my top choice. I was able to secure a memorial scholarship throughout the last 2 years of college as well which definitely lightened any financial burden I experienced. Geneseo is largely a PWI, which as a POC was definitely different to navigate, but the support systems I have made it easier to adapt. I am open to being your support system!

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill · Senior
Hi! I'm Seraiah, a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill majoring in Psychology and Anthropology and minoring in education. What I love most about UNC is the community. I've built amazing friendships and a strong support system that have made college feel like home. I was surprised by how much growth happens outside the classroom through new experiences and connections. But, one thing I wish I knew is that it's okay not to have everything figured out; college is a time to explore, learn, and grow.

Texas State University · Junior
I love the San Marcos river that runs through town, everyone is always so helpful and friendly! The community that comes to the river is amazing. The advisors at TXST are always friendly and support my education goals. I’ve never had any issues with the faculty being rude or uninterested. Everybody I have spoken with has been extremely helpful and encouraged my goals without trying to force me into other paths.

Idaho State University · Senior
Honestly, Idaho State University has given me a good sense of balance. I’ve found a great job on campus, and while my major’s department is small, it’s tight knit enough that I know what I can really sink my teeth into. It’s not a very ambitious school, but that’s okay, as you tend to find your way through friends, clubs, jobs and even everyday interactions.
