I believe that it is hard to navigate the transition to college from high school, but that it is one that is extremely beneficial and liberating. After the struggle I had as a high school student with figuring out what I wanted to do and where I wanted to go, I would love to help people understand college life and what to expect.

Hafi Shaheer Khan
Duke University · Durham, NC · Sophomore
What I love about Duke Kunshan? The collisions: discussing Confucius over midnight dumplings, taking the high-speed rail to Shanghai for an afternoon, then returning to a campus where everyone somehow knows everyone. What surprised me: how small the world becomes. A roommate from China, a friend from Brazil, a professor recommending a noodle shop. What I wish I knew: say yes more often to 火鍋 (hot pot) invitations, and conversations that begin with, “Want to grab 咖啡 (coffee)?”

San Francisco State is a great place to be very close to the city and explore many new things and meet many new people. It is a small school, so you tend to meet people well. If you want a low key campus, but still provides many great opportunities in a busy city; this might be the school for you!

Hi, my name is Maggie. I'm a senior at Rutgers, double majoring in Business Analytics and Information Technology and Marketing. I transferred to Rutgers in my sophomore year and it was the best decision I made. Rutgers is a big campus and there are so many opportunities to meet people and gain new experiences. One piece of advice I would give is to attend the involvement fair at the beginning of the year and look at all the clubs that Rutgers offers and find one that interests you.

Priya M.
HS Senior · Committed to NYU

Junior Guide · UNC Chapel Hill
“We spent $80 total on four calls with four different schools. That’s less than one campus visit flight. Best research decision we made.”
Sarah W.

Why we exist
I was a high school senior who knew nothing about college. Not really.
I had the rankings, the virtual tours, the Reddit threads. I asked my parents, my teachers, my counselor. Everyone said the right things. But nobody had been there recently. Nobody knew what it was actually like right now.
Then, by luck, I ended up talking to an upperclassman at one of the schools I was considering. Not a tour guide. Not an admissions officer. Just a junior who'd been through it.
He didn't just answer my questions. He changed how I thought about college entirely. What most people don't tell you is that the thing that most determines your experience isn't your major, your dorm, or even the school — it's whether you find the right people to learn from. An upperclassman who's made the mistakes so you don't have to. A mentor who can save you years of figuring things out the hard way.
The conversation changed my whole direction. The problem wasn't the conversation. It was how hard it was to find it.
So I built Campii. We pay college students most of what you pay per call, which means they actually want to be here. Not because they have to be — because it's worth their time to share. Every call funds a college student and gives an incoming freshman something most people only get by luck: an upperclassman who'll tell them the truth.
That's it. That's Campii.
Built by students, for students. Every call directly pays a college student.
The math
One conversation can save you years of regret.
The average American family spends $114,000 on a four-year degree. They spend thousands more on campus visit flights, hotel rooms, and application fees. But they rarely spend $20 to talk to someone who actually lives there.
