Tours and admissions sessions show you the highlight reel. Campii guides are real students living it right now, with no script and no incentive to sell you. You get candid answers, not marketing.

How do I know the guides are real, verified students?

Accepted Answer

Every guide verifies a valid .edu email at their school before they can go live, and their school is shown on their profile. Guides also build public ratings from real calls, so you can see who students found genuinely helpful.

How does booking work?

Browse guides by school, pick someone whose path looks like yours, choose an open time, and pay $20. Your guide confirms, and you get a private video link in your dashboard when it's time. The call is 30 minutes, camera on.

How much does it cost?

Calls are a flat $20 for 30 minutes - no subscription, no account needed just to browse. Every call directly pays the college student you talk to.

What if my guide doesn't show up or I need to cancel?

If a guide cancels or can't make it, you get a credit or refund. And your first call is backed by our first-call guarantee - if it isn't helpful, email support@campii.app within 7 days and we'll refund it or match you with a new guide. If your plans change, reach out and we'll sort it out fairly.

Is my information safe? I'm a parent and a little cautious.

Totally fair. Payments run through Stripe (we never see full card numbers), question-askers appear anonymously on public pages, and we screen posts for personal info. We don't sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details, and never share financial or contact details on a call.

Can parents use Campii or sit in on a call?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many parents book and join calls with their student. If the account holder is under 18, a parent or guardian should be involved per our Terms.

What should I ask my guide?

Accepted Answer

Anything you actually care about: which dorms to avoid, whether the social scene fits you, how hard a major really is, what they'd do differently. The more specific, the better the call.

How do I become a guide, and how much do guides earn?

If you're a current college student or a recent graduate, verify your .edu email, set your availability, and go live in minutes. Recent grads who've lost access to their .edu inbox can email support@campii.app to be verified manually. Guides earn a set payout per completed call, paid out through Stripe. See the Guide Agreement for details.

I'm a tutor or counselor - can I earn by referring students?

Yes. Create a free partner account and you'll get a referral link. When a high schooler you refer completes their first call, you earn $5 cash, paid out to your bank through Stripe. There's no cap and it's free to join - learn more on our partners page.

Are the chatrooms free?

Accepted Answer

Yes - reading and asking questions in a school's chatroom is free. You'll create a quick free account to ask and to read the full thread. Booking a call is the paid part.
