Pomona College · Freshman
Pomona was not originally where I thought I wanted to go. Over the course of the months-long college admissions process, I grew to understand the significant advantages of education at a Liberal Arts College, to the point where I eventually picked Pomona over much more well-known public R1 univsities, Ivy League and Ivy+ colleges, and other LACs such as Williams, Swarthmore, and Oberlin. I would consider myself especially knowledgeable in the different pros and cons of each type of institution.

Washburn University · Sophomore
As someone who’s had tons of experience and guidance of the college experience throughout middle and high school, I was still confused about some aspects. For example, how to enroll in classes and how to find my classes. I’ve also done a lot of research before heading to Washburn. I chose Washburn for the cost, proximity, and staff. I still deal with struggles currently, but I know where to go for help.
