Pomona was not originally where I thought I wanted to go. Over the course of the months-long college admissions process, I grew to understand the significant advantages of education at a Liberal Arts College, to the point where I eventually picked Pomona over much more well-known public R1 univsities, Ivy League and Ivy+ colleges, and other LACs such as Williams, Swarthmore, and Oberlin. I would consider myself especially knowledgeable in the different pros and cons of each type of institution.
