Hey! I'm a rising sophomore studying CS. Coming into college, I was worried I'd spend 24/7 coding in a basement. What surprised me was how collaborative and social the major actually is, and between hackathons and campus clubs, I've found a great community here. If you want to know what the CS workload is actually like, how to balance classes with social life, or just want the truth about dorm food, let's chat!

How easy is it to get involved in clubs at University of Southern California?
It's very easy and friendly to get involved in clubs at USC, as there's a club for literally everything. There's a massive club fair every semester where you can explore a lot of different clubs, and it's how I got into a few clubs myself. Plus, clubs are an incredible way to meet people and participate in meaningful work outside of just the classroom.

How is the dining hall food at University of Southern California?
Out of the three dining halls, I would say Parkside consistently has the best food and normally, they like to experiment more with their menu. McCarthy is also good but can be iffy at times. EVK is the lowest and their food is inconsistent, as some days can be really good and some days it's the opposite.

What is game day and school spirit like at University of Southern California?
Game days are super fun! There are tailgates going on throughout the campus and you can definitely feel the school spirit in the days leading up to a football game. And once you're in the Colosseum, it's an incredible feeling to watch and support alongside thousands of other students and fans.

What are the dorms really like at University of Southern California?
Stayed in Birnkrant this past year and had a blast. Socially was really fun but don't expect too much from the dorm room and building facilities. New North is definitely the "party" dorm and can get pretty wild. Marks and Pardee are pretty chill. McCarthy and Parkside probably have the best dorm facilities, including air conditioning. Parkside has the best dining hall but the dorms can get pretty quiet and isolated on the weekends.
