I love that UMBC is an R1 research university and that both the professors and students out such a strong emphasis on learning course material. Students and staff are academically driven, so it is nice that everyone wants to deeper their understanding in whichever field of their choice. The campus is absolutely beautiful, if a little hilly, and most things are centrally located.
