What is game day and school spirit like at Stanford University?

Stanford has really good school spirit because of the many incredible sports on campus. The biggest game day event is called Big Game, which is the annual football rivalry between Stanford and the University of California, Berkeley. On game day, students fill the stands wearing cardinal red, cheering alongside the Stanford Band and celebrating one of the university's most cherished traditions. It is especially exciting because each year, the winner of the game takes home the Axe!

What are the dorms really like at Stanford University?

The dorms are so nice! There are also so many different styles of dorms, but each room is the perfect size and has incredible views across campus. It depends on the dorm you are assigned, but some dorms have two rooms, one room, and can hold anywhere from one student to four students in a dorm space.

How hard are the academics at Stanford University?

A great question! The academics are definitely challenging, especially because the quarter system requires students to start preparing for midterms and finals at a quicker pace. But there are tons of resources to help students with their academics, including office hours and other forms of support to make sure students are able to keep up with the workload. Many students may underestimate their ability to engage with challenging academic work, but you are likely capable of handling the work!
