About Reyna
Hi! My name is Reyna Imperial! I love LSU because of its incredible culture, amazing people, and the endless opportunities available to students. What surprised me most was how everyone can have such different experiences and paths while still sharing the same goal of growing and succeeding. LSU allows you to find your own community and truly make your college experience your own. One thing I wish I knew before college is that balance is key! Learning how to manage your time & prioritize!

How hard are the academics at Louisiana State University?
Academics at LSU can be challenging, but it really depends on your major, your course load, and how involved you are outside of the classroom. The biggest thing is being willing to put in the work and finding a study routine that works best for you. If you haven’t developed strong study habits before college, it’s important to start exploring different methods and figure out what helps you learn best. LSU provides plenty of resources and support, so don’t be afraid to reach out to professors, advisors, or classmates when you need help. The academics are manageable when you stay organized, dedicate time to your studies, and take advantage of the opportunities around you.

What are the dorms really like at Louisiana State University?
The dorms at LSU are a great way to meet people and get connected with campus life. Each residence hall has its own personality, and your experience really depends on the community you build around you. Some dorms are more social and active, while others are quieter and better for students who prefer a more relaxed environment. Living on campus makes it easier to get involved, attend events, and build friendships since you’re surrounded by other students going through the same transition. I would recommend keeping an open mind, getting involved early, and making your room feel like a comfortable space that feels like home.
