If you seek it out, yes. Theres clubs and groups for pretty much anything, religion, hobbies, art, etc etc. Although you do have to go seek them out, life does not come to you like highschool.

How hard are the academics at California State University, Long Beach?
Really depends on the class, with very broad core classes like math or english they can be easy or hard depending on the level, but there will always be a tutor for those classes. Although the more specific the class usually the less support systems there are which can make them more self taught.
