Sophomore · Psychology
What I loved most about Pepperdine was how easy it was to find a community. Everyone was welcoming and there were so many different interests and backgrounds represented on campus. I was surprised that although it is a Christian university, students of many faiths feel included and respected. As a Catholic, I appreciated that. My biggest advice is to get involved early. Putting yourself out there during your first semester can open doors to friendships, leadership roles, and opportunities.

I am currently an online student in the Master's Psychology program at Pepperdine University, specifically to be a licensed marriage and family therapist. This program can seem daunting, but the teachers and curriculum are so engaging that the weekly meetings are really fun to attend. Doing school online has been really convenient, letting me keep my daily routine while pursuing school.

Pepperdine is a beautiful school, but I can understand how someone could be intimidated by it at first; I certainly was. Whether it's price, distance, academics, or the social scene, I had many doubts and they have all been soothed one way or another. I am happy to do that for any prospective student who needs it. Pepperdine is not a perfect place, as no school is, I am happy to to be open and transparent about my personal experience as to help you find out if this is the right place for you.
