I love going to Texas A&M University here in Texarkana. Before, I was at a community college called University of Arkansas at Hope-Texarkana. When I was still going there, I did not know Texas A&M even existed. But once I found out that it was in my hometown, I knew I had to transfer there. One thing that surprised me the most about TAMUT was the tuition. They offer in-state tuition for students that do not live in Texas.

What I love most about my college is the sense of community and the freedom to explore my interests deeply. I was surprised by how much support there is from professors and peers they really want you to succeed and grow. What I wish I knew before starting is that it’s okay to not have everything figured out right away; college is a place to discover who you are and what you’re passionate about.
