Is the social scene at University of Maryland actually any good?

Absolutely! There are so many ways to meet people at UMD, whether you're into Greek life, sports, clubs, concerts, or just hanging out with friends. There are hundreds of student organizations, so it's easy to find people with similar interests. I've met a lot of my friends through clubs and campus involvement. Like any big school, you'll get out of it what you put in, but if you're willing to get involved, there's always something happening on campus.
