About Rohan
I love how Blacksburg revolves around Virginia Tech. Being in a college town is amazing and makes you feel so special. The whole town feels centered around you and you feel very strong walking around campus and the city. Also, the food at Virginia Tech is #2 in the nation, and trust me, we brag about that.

How diverse and inclusive does Virginia Tech actually feel?
Virginia Tech feels VERY diverse and inclusive. From the orientation I attended, if I remember correctly, someone from every single state applied to Virginia Tech. Not to mention the various countries that people come from to live in Blacksburg. I am from India, so I can definitely feel when my surroundings are very plain, but being in Blacksburg never makes me feel like I am part of the community around me. There are so many different people from so many different backgrounds that you will never feel like you're alone. There is always someone in Blacksburg who relates to you.

What are the dorms really like at Virginia Tech?
Me personally, I haven't lived on campus yet but I will move in on August of this year which I am very excited about. But unfortunately, I have to live in Pritchard Hall because of my LLP which I haven't heard amazing things about. Although from what I have heard about some of the other dorms is very cool to me. According to some people I know, some of the dorms at VT have gyms, movie theaters, special lounges, and a lot more. I would do my research about what dorm you feel is the best before picking it. Unless you decide to join an LLP, in which case, hope for the best. Though if you look up what LLP stays in which dorm, you could technically finesse your way into the dorm you want if you can apply to that LLP.

Is the social scene at Virginia Tech actually any good?
In short, yes! Virginia Tech has a great social scene, if you live on campus, the first thing you'll notice is that most of the dorms are all very close to each other, and I mean VERY close to each other. They are connected by a common courtyard-ish thing where there are no cars allowed, so you'll just see students walking around, sitting on benches, or on a run. There are volleyball courts, basketball courts, and even grills all in the "courtyard" place I described. You'll see students there every single day just hanging out that you can be part of. Not to mention football gamedays in Blacksburg. Football fans run the town that day, there are THOUSANDS of people just hanging out in Blacksburg who want to experience Enter Sandman live and there are so many tailgate options, and students yelling "LET'S GO" out of nowhere countless times for everyone. So yeah, VT has a great social scene. If you have any other questions let me know!
