What actually helped people get into Rutgers University?

rutgers has pulled back on their acceptance rate since i applied because they're now on common app (which they weren't before) but a strong personal statement and recommendation letters from faculty are super important!

How easy is it to get involved in clubs at Rutgers University?

if you live on campus, it's very easy! at the beginning of each academic year, rutgers has a day where all of the clubs show up outside and give information on what they do, and there is no fee or charge to sign up for any of them. there is a club for literally anyone; equestrian club, rock climbing, cultural clubs, photography, etc. i will say, however, being a commuter makes it hard to be motivated to be involved due to having to find parking (which can be impossible some days) and sometimes club meetings are not that interesting.

Is the campus and area around Rutgers University safe?

new brunswick is a city, and cities in general can be dangerous, but because it's a smaller city i'd say it's less dangerous than say, new york. easton ave is probably the most dangerous street there and there have been a bunch of shootings reported there from rutgers police dept but other than that i'd say the campus is pretty safe, nothing has ever happened to me or my friends on campus.

How big is Greek life at Rutgers University?

greek life is huge on campus. basically every other house on college ave is a fraternity or a sorority, there is no shortage of greek life at rutgers.
