Reportif you live on campus, it's very easy! at the beginning of each academic year, rutgers has a day where all of the clubs show up outside and give information on what they do, and there is no fee or charge to sign up for any of them. there is a club for literally anyone; equestrian club, rock climbing, cultural clubs, photography, etc. i will say, however, being a commuter makes it hard to be motivated to be involved due to having to find parking (which can be impossible some days) and sometimes club meetings are not that interesting.
