ReportThere are three Rutgers campuses (New Brunswick, Camden, and Newark). I can speak for the New Brunswick campus. I think it is located in a very nice spot. You can go downtown from College Ave campus, and there are many different restaurants and places students can enjoy. The social scene is also very nice. The train station is also very close by, so you can easily go to different towns like Edison and even NYC.
i go to the new brunswick campus and i think it's okay for a college campus. there's a lot of restaurants and small shops downtown, and it's a short walk from campus. my personal favorite shop is the camera shop on george street, so if you're looking for a place to develop your film, that's your place. you can also take the train to the city, which is located on the college ave campus. it's a 45 minute train ride for a $30 round trip ticket (although i'm not sure how much it is now since nj transit raised their prices this month) which provides enough time to plan a trip with your friends or charge up before a long day in the city.
