One of my favorite things about the school is how compact the campus is—everything is close together, which makes daily life a lot easier and less stressful. Before coming here, I assumed CSUSM was mostly a commuter school, but I was surprised by how strong the campus community feels and how easy it is to meet people. One thing I wish I had known beforehand is that I didn't really need a meal plan. Since my dorm had a kitchen, cooking my own meals ended up being a much more affordable and convenient option.
