From my knowledge getting involved in clubs at Towson University is generally easy because the university has a large variety of student organizations that cater to different interests. Students can explore organizations through campus involvement fairs, directories, and events held throughout the year. Also many buildings have flyers posted up which give information on different clubs/groups and how to express interest. Most clubs welcome new members and provide opportunities to participate regardless of prior experience. Towson encourages student engagement by offering leadership development programs, volunteer opportunities, and campus events which in my opinion makes it easy for students to meet others, build connections, and become active members of the campus clubs . What mental health and academic support does Towson University offer?

Towson has many mental health and academic support services to help us students succeed both personally and academically. The Counseling Center provides confidential mental health services, like individual counseling, group therapy, crisis support, substance use counseling, and wellness programs. Students can also access the Student Outreach and Support (SOS) program which connects them with resources for personal, financial, and academic issues. Academically the tutoring and learning center offers free tutoring, academic coaching, study groups, and workshops for things like time management, organization, or test preparation. Additional support is available through the writing center (in the Union) where students can receive assistance with brainstorming, drafting, revising, and improving various types of written assignments.
