I would say the academics aren’t very difficult. Of course it varies from major to major but as a criminal justice major with a psych minor it has been very manageable. Most classes I take are in liberal arts which tend to be very straightforward classes. Everyone is required at least one math and lab (science) and maybe more than one dependent on the major. Lab was my hardest class, you must show up to both the lab and lecture to pass. As long as you manage time and get assignments in on time you should be successful. Don’t procrastinate!! It will cause unwanted stress because some classes are very fast paced. Also show up to class! Most professors I’ve had use material straight from class lectures so if you show up consistently it should set you up for success. Most classes will range from 50 minutes to a 1hr 15 minutes. Some classes are longer if it’s only once a week. Tutors are available on campus so if you find yourself struggling that’s a great resource. Some classes I have been in the students make a chat on groupme to help each other out. Last thing is there’s a resource called ratemyprofessor. It’s a website where you can look up a university and look up a professor. It gives you a rating and feedback from students that have taken them. It’s best to choose the ones with higher ratings as they are usually more flexible, less tedious with grading, good with communication, etc. Hope this helps!
Hey there! I would love to dig deeper into your question and see what you may be interested in majoring in. But, for the most part, the difficulty of the academics depends on the way an instructor may teach and how it matches your learning style. What makes learning easier at Towson is its resources. When i took Microeconomics, (math heavy class), I had a hard time understanding, but because Towson really pushes its tutoring services, I was able to pass the class just fine. So, use your resources! I'm sure you'll do great.
